Time Machine
Whoa. I just got a glimpse of what Time Machine for Mac does. I thought it was just a backup/restore thing. It goes beyond that. You get complete control over the state of your computer in the past. You can pull old files or find stuff that might have been altered or deleted just by flipping through the various backups that have taken place over time. Very very cool.

Squirrel Pops out of Woman's Cleavage
WARREN, Ohio - Police in Warren, Ohio released videotape of a woman who stored a baby squirrel in her tank top. She was brought into the station for questioning about a crime. The detective sat amazed as the woman continued the conversation with the squirrel tucked into her cleavage.  Police eventually let the woman and her little friend go. Click here to see the video:

It's hard to eat only good foods...
First of all it’s really hard to eat right. I mean to really eat right. Whole foods. Fruits and vegetables. Secondly it’s hard to eat right and eat a lot. How many salads can you eat in a day? How many protein shakes can you drink in a day? How many chicken breasts can you eat in a day? Trying to gain muscle for the next 3 weeks but figuring out how I’m going to sustain a...

Separation of Church and State
I’ve found the need to separate those posts specifically relating to photography and decided to create a new blog dedicated to my photography endeavors over at blogger. It would appear to me that my idols have taken residence up over there anyway so I’m simply joining them. If you care to follow, the site is: charlesyehstudios.blogspot.com Yes I realize it’s a stupidly long...

Stephanie Reading: Half
Stephanie’s half Caucasian and half Chinese. We thought it’d be interesting to make her up to look more Caucasian and then to look more Chinese. Gwyneth Price did the makeup. Here are the results:

Seikonic L-308S
Cheap little flashmeter. Keeps me in check and makes sure I don’t overexpose my frames. Saves me time from chimping off of the camera’s LCD screen. One of the most inexpensive (or perhaps the most-inexpensive) flashmeters on the market. Reads ambient or flash light conditions and provides you an aperture based upon your shutter speed. Doesn’t work the other way around. For what...

Eat your heart out Anne Hathaway...
In the back of my mind I always knew this was a single large light source that lit Anne the way that you see her in the picture below. What gave it away ultimately was the neck and back highlights as well as those highlights under the chin. Also if you’ve seen this picture you’ve probably also seen the first and second takes of my Anne Hathaway recreations. Here’s the 3rd and...

Here's what's wrong with the Palm Pre →
Most of these make sense. Upon reading the specs and watching the demo of the phone by Palm’s CEO, I felt it was no more than a iPhone wannabe and 3 years late. But that’s my humble opinion.

Now the slice, and now more slice (Round 2)
Continuation of “First the hook, now the slice” So upon rereading what I had supposedly learned the other day, I realize that I wasn’t paying attention to my own writing. I didn’t rotate the shoulders. Rotating the shoulders gives the club head enough time to catch up with the hands. Other notable sources of not slicing are the following: do not rotate the right hand...

First the hook, now the slice
When I was in Taiwan, I was hooking like a streetwalker on Hollywood and Cahuenga. Took a golf lesson and the recipe for the cure was as follows: Keep the right hand grip turned over Keep the left elbow straight Keep the right elbow tucked in toward the body Do not (over) rotate I believe this cure was created as a result of swinging my golf club like a baseball bat, I was really cranking...

www.lucima.com
I’ve gone through several iterations of my website. No, not this one. My photography website. It started on the weekend of April 17th when I was in Las Vegas and had an itch to create a website to showcase my images. Throughout that weekend I racked my brain for good names for websites and finally decided on “lucima” - a fabricated word with the latin root “luci”...

Ray Flash the Ringflash II
As a followup to the original Ray Flash review, I used my Ray Flash again for Stephanie Reading’s first shoot. I just received my new Sekonic Lightmeter L-308S which is a nifty little gadget for which I’ll probably post a review in the future. Anyway with the lightmeter I’m able to achieve a reading for the Ray Flash mounted on a SB-800 set at full power. At about 6-7 feet it...
