High-key/Low-key: Stephanie Reading
As a simple and effective way to do portraiture without getting bogged down with the details involving makeup and wardrobe, I decided to do a “high-key/low-key lighting” shoot contrasting the difference between the different looks and feels of such lighting.
Here is Stephanie Reading showing us the contrast between high and low-key lighting.
“High-key lighting is a style of lighting for film, television, or photography that aims to reduce the lighting ratio present in the scene” - Wikipedia

“Low key light accentuates the contours of an object by throwing areas into shade while a fill light or reflector may illuminate the shadow areas to control contrast.” -Wikipedia

Mid/low-key lighting - a mix of both
