Ray Flash the Ringflash II
As a followup to the original Ray Flash review, I used my Ray Flash again for Stephanie Reading’s first shoot.
I just received my new Sekonic Lightmeter L-308S which is a nifty little gadget for which I’ll probably post a review in the future. Anyway with the lightmeter I’m able to achieve a reading for the Ray Flash mounted on a SB-800 set at full power. At about 6-7 feet it reads somewhere between F6.3 to F9. If you are using the Ray Flash with other flash units firing from the same axis, then you’ll easily achieve F9 if not a smaller aperture. Not too shabby for a SB-800 mounted ring flash…
