California ‘Dodges Bullet’ as 5.4 Earthquake Rocks Region
Seriously?
Either you’re too young to remember “real” earthquakes or you’re not from around here. What we experienced today was childsplay compared to the monster quakes we had often in the 80’s. What about Northridge in ‘94?
I was on a conference call with some people from the East Coast while the earthquake happened. Everyone in the room was native Californian for many decades. No one freaked out. No one jumped under a table. We made a few comments and when it was done, we resumed our call.
Minutes later tenants from the other buildings were seen ‘evacuating’ the complex. All gathering outside in ‘escape’ fashion. Most people were seen talking excitedly amongst each other like they had just lived through 9/11.
Seriously guys. It was a 5.4 you ain’t seen nothing yet.
