Drunk strobist
As a tribute to Strobist (aka Mr. David Hobby), I decided to make my own version of this shot:
Now lemme tell you. This was not an easy shot to pull off. Looking directly into the strobe’s reflection off the screen made me almost puke after 40 or so test flashes. Furthermore, getting the right angle where the strobe “paints” the back of the laptop was no easy task. I would say, I wasted a good 30 frames just trying to find the right angle that I had to tilt the laptop along with the angle of the light coming down on the laptop. Last but not least of my gripes is the fact that my camera screen shows the picture with brighter than what I see on the computer. I’m going to have to resolve that, maybe turn up the screen brightness on my computer or turn down the screen brightness on the camera.
